Take in the Art Scene

Fuquay-Varina has a growing arts scene and the vibe is generating a great deal of activity.

Visit art galleries including Ashley’s Art Gallery of Magnolia House to see a large selection of original art from artists around the world and our own backyard.

Every fall and spring, the Follow Me 2 Fuquay-Varina Concert Series features regional acts playing a variety of music in a family friendly atmosphere at Centennial Square from 6:30-9:30 p.m.  Local artists populate the street, and Aviator Brewery, Lincoln Brewery, Fainting Goat Brewery, Mason Jar Lager Company, Adam’s Vineyard and local restaurants and food trucks will be onsite.

Fuquay-Varina knows how to have a good time and offers a number of events throughout the year that include a celebration of the arts. Experience the thrill of the award winning En Plein Air Paint-off, a 2-day art competition ending with an auction of original works.  See past winners’ masterpieces displayed on buildings throughout the historic downtown. Bengals on Parade is a nod to our hometown high school mascot, as interpreted by local artists. (include map) Celebrate Fuquay-Varina (early October) celebrates the joys of small town NC, and includes multiple music stages, an artists’ village, and hands on art activities for kids and adults alike.  The Artists’ Village is just one of many components that round out the WRAL Freedom Balloon Festival, held over Memorial Weekend.

Arts Center
The Fuquay-Varina Arts Center supports the community by offering performances, classes, workshops, and exhibits for youth and adults. Currently under construction, the new Arts Center is anticipated to open its doors in Spring, 2018.
