Volunteer Caregiving Programs
Southern Regional Center
See dates below

Southern Regional Center is partnering with the Center for Volunteer Caregiving for two different programs.

One is for those who want to volunteer to assist with direct care to area senior citizens.  There is an August 30 Orientation meeting for this program at SRC from 12-2 pm.  The second program is the Caregiver Academy.  It’s a series of sessions for those who are providing care to someone with discussion/training on the unique circumstances caregivers experience in that situation.   Sessions begin Sept. 6, 11:30 am – 1 pm.

Both of these programs have been funded by a grant from the Stephens family.  The grant is intended to target the southern Wake County residents.  If you know of any people or groups looking for opportunities or family care givers who are feeling stressed, please recommend this to them.
