Town Tree Lighting

Municipal Parking Lot at Main/Vance Street
In addition to the tree lighting and performances by local choral groups, there will be an ice skating rink from 5-10 pm! Visit with Santa or become a part of the scenery in a life-size snow globe. Remember to bring your camera to capture these priceless hometown memories! It’s all free and provided courtesy of the Town of Fuquay-Varina.
Sleigh rides will also be available and are sponsored by Fuquay-Varina Downtown Revitalization. Sleigh tickets can be purchased at the FVDA office located at 108 Raleigh St. on Nov. 29 at 6:30 pm. Project Enlightenment Kindergarten Program
Getting Ready for Kindergarten offers rising kindergarteners the opportunity to attend a FREE 28 session facilitated playgroup to learn skills that prepare them for success in school. The playgroup is open to families who live in Wake County, have limited family income and who have a child who was 4 by August 31st, 2017. There are 4 sessions available and groups meet twice a week for 14 weeks. The Fall/Winter sessions are available at Project Enlightenment or Millbrook UMC from October 10th-February 1st. The Winter/Spring sessions meet at Fuquay Varina UMC or Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church from February 13th-May 29th.

Yoga in the Park
Every Sunday (May-Sept) from 8-9 am at Fuquay Mineral Spring Park. No experience needed to enjoy an hour of free yoga suitable for any age or experience level. Taught by area yoga instructors. Free.
