2035 Community Vision Land Use Plan

The 2035 Community Vision Land Use Plan was adopted by the Town Board on June 5, 2017 following extensive public input.  The plan, which has taken approximately one year to develop, provides a common vision and broad guiding principles to help shape future growth and development for the Town and replaces the original 2005 Land Use Plan.

The plan’s general recommendations encompass land use, transportation, community facilities and services, parks and recreation, economic vitality, community design and performance measures and are meant to be a set of guiding principles to help shape discussions and policy that lead to a more predictable environment for public investment, private development and the general public.

Going forward, the Land Use Plan will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis to ensure that the plan reflects current conditions in the rapidly changing community of Fuquay-Varina which has seen tremendous population growth over the past 20 years.
