Flushing Water System

During the COVID-19 crisis, may businesses’ building have shut down for extended periods.  This situation requires building owners to take the time to flush the interior piping in the building before reopening.

Pipes are made for continuous use and stagnant water can develop taste and odor problems and in some cases bacterial or chemical contamination. Flush all hot and cold-water taps, ice machines, and any water utilizing equipment before reopening for business. If your building has been in disuse, The Town of Fuquay-Varina recommends you take the time to flush the lines before reopening for business.
