​E-Sports Tournaments (Youth & Adult)

Fuquay-Varina Parks Recreation & Cultural Resources Athletics Division is hosting its first online E-Sports tournaments.  Tournaments will be open to all ages and winners will earn the right to represent Fuquay-Varina Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources in the first ever SWAC E-Sports State Championship.  To participate each player must use their own consoles and games and must have internet access. Games offered are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League, and FIFA 21 (Playstation and XBOX).

Registration Opens: March 19, 2021

Registration Closes: March 26, 2021

Cost: FREE!

Registration may be completed online or in person at the Community Center (820 S. Main Street).

*Rocket League Registration - will be played in teams of 3. To register a team, captains must call in to the Community Center at (919) 552-1430 to register their team’s name before registering members of the team.

Age Groups

Age cut-off date: April 12, 2021

Under 18 – players must not turn 18 prior to April 12, 2021

18 & Over – players must turn 18 on or prior to April 12, 2021

Mario Kart

Tournament Style: Participants will compete in a circuit of races and points will be given per finishing place in each race.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Tournament Style: Players will compete individually in rounds of four players each with the top two players advancing from each round.

Tournament Date: March 30

Rocket League

Tournament Style: 3 vs 3 Team play

Tournament Date:  March 31

Start Time: 6:00pm

Maximum Teams: 32

FIFA 21 (Playstation & XBOX)

Tournament Style: 1 vs 1

Tournament Date: Two day tournament March 31 & April 1 (For both Consoles)

Start Time: 6:00pm
