The Fuquay-Varina Police Department participates in fundraising efforts annually to support over 40,000 NC Special Olympics athletes through various outreach initiatives. Officers work with local businesses and the community to raise money through the sale of NC Law Enforcement Torch Run t-shirts or through direct donations. We have held past fundraising events at events such as Cops On Top, McGruff, and Officers at local businesses, Coffee with a Cop, and other community and Town of Fuquay-Varina events. To host an event or to donate contact Corporal Daniel Look at dlook@fuquay-varina.org or Captain Brett Walsh at bwalsh@fuquay-varina.org.
You may also donate directly to our team through this link: https://www.classy.org/give/336207/#!/donation/checkout
Employees of the Fuquay-Varina Police Department also run in the NC Law Enforcement Torch Run annually in May. The public is invited to participate but must sign a waiver and purchase a NC Law Enforcement Torch Run t-shirt. Contact Corporal Look to participate.
There are also opportunities for businesses to sponsor the Special Olympics of NC. Contact Corporal Look or Captain Walsh for more details!
