NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING SANFORD WATER FILTRATION FACILITY

30-MGD EXPANSION PROJECT

Engineering Report and Environmental Information Document

The City of Sanford, the Town of Fuquay-Varina, and the Town of Holly Springs have received Division of Water Infrastructure (DWI) administered funding (State Revolving Fund and/or American Rescue Plan Act) for the Sanford Water Filtration Facility 30-mgd Expansion project. This project will include the expansion of the existing Sanford Water Filtration Facility (WFF) from 12 million gallons per day (mgd) to 30-mgd. The total cost estimate for the project is $237 million and will be financed in part from DWI administered Funds.

A Public Meeting on the Water Supply Improvements project will be held to discuss the needs, benefits, and impacts of this project. An Engineering Report and Environmental Information Document has been prepared for this project and can be viewed at any of these three locations:
