Town of Fuquay-Varina Projects
Fleming Loop Park
Construction is complete on improvements to Fleming Loop Park and the park is now open, located at 503 Fleming Loop Road. The site includes soccer fields, a playground, a shelter, trails, and 314 parking spaces on 33.80 acres.
Fuquay-Varina Police Department
Renovations are complete and the new Fuquay-Varina Police Department facility, located at 401 Old Honeycutt Road is operational. The site includes a 15,298 square foot building on a 5.9-acre lot and previously served as Town Hall.

119 S Fuquay Ave Commercial Building
A site plan is in review for a commercial building, to be located at 119 S Fuquay Avenue. The site includes a 3,708 square foot, 2-story retail/office building on 0.12 acres.
8205 Fayetteville Road Commercial
A site plan is in review for Fayetteville Road Commercial, to be located at 8205 Fayetteville Road (Hwy 401). The site includes a 1,800 square foot restaurant with drive through and 1,200 square foot restaurant with 24 parking spaces on a 0.69 acre lot along with a 0.94 acre lot and a 0.42 acre lot with an additional 7 parking spaces for future development.
A site plan is in review for a retail building, to be located at 8250 Fayetteville Road. The site includes a 9,450 square foot building with 51 parking spaces on 1.43 acres.
Construction of townhomes is underway for Bengal Towne Centre, an 18.48-acre form-based development located at 1000 NE Judd Parkway near the intersection with Stewart Street. The development features 13 tracts to be developed for a variety of uses such as office, commercial, mixed-use, apartments, and civic space. Additionally, the plans include infrastructure and 53 townhomes. A site plan is in review for Lot 4, which includes an 110,000 square foot, mixed-use, four-story building with 97 parking spaces on 1.27 acres. Construction is underway for Bengal Towne Center Lot 5, located at 1200 Galt Avenue, for a 4,460 square foot Montessori School with 37 parking spaces on 0.45 acres.
A site plan is in review for an amenity center in the Briar Gate Subdivision, located off the proposed Briar Gate Drive. The amenity center features a 1,120 square foot building with a pool on 1.9 acres.
A site plan is in review for an amenity center in the Brighton Ridge Subdivision, to be located off the proposed Benton Mill Drive. The amenity center features a 923 square foot building with a pool and an area for a future playground on 1.26 acres.
A site plan is in review for Calyx Senior Living, to be located at 105 Judd Parkway. The proposed congregate living facility will include a 1-story, 47,330 square foot building with 51 parking spaces on 4.37 acres.
Carolina Gardens Amenity Center
A site plan is in review for an amenity center in the Carolina Gardens Subdivision. The amenity site features a 21,325 square foot building with a pool, tennis and bocce ball court and mail kiosk area with 151 parking spaces on 6.95 acres.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
A site plan has been approved for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2540 N Broad Street (Hwy 55). The site includes a 17,901 square foot building with 219 parking spaces on 6.84 acres.
Destination Community Church of God
Construction is underway for Destination Community Church of God, located at 611 Holland Road. The site includes a 12,000 square foot building on 2.63 acres.
Construction plans are in review for infrastructure at East of Broad, to be located at 1900 &1924 N Broad Street. This form based development will include 5 commercial lots and 0.55 acres of civic space on 8.533 acres.
Construction is underway for Faulkner Business Center, located at 2431 Waco Commercial Court. The site includes a 10,000 square foot warehouse building with 24 parking spaces on 1.84 acres.
Construction is underway for a First Bank in Lane Dental Plaza, located at 1830 N Broad Street (Hwy 55). The site includes a 4,968 square foot bank building with 17 parking spaces on 8.22 acres.
A site plan is in review for Five Points Animal Hospital, to be located at 2021 N Main Street. The proposed veterinary clinic site includes a 6,775 square foot building with 31 parking spaces on 1.049 acres.
Construction is underway for a major renovation of Fuquay-Varina High School. A combination of renovation and new construction will result in a 291,398 square foot facility with capacity for 2,350 students, a greenhouse, improved vehicular circulation, and increased parking.
A site plan is in review for an amenity center in the Geneva Subdivision, to be located at 1713 Bristen Way. The amenity site features a 2,044 square foot building with a pool and 28 parking spaces on 1.33 acres.
Construction is underway for Herbert Akins Middle School, located at 2255 Herbert Akins Road. The school will be a part of the Wake County Public School System and includes a 166,315 square foot main building, 735 square foot accessory building and athletic fields on the 43.83 acre campus shared with Herbert Akins Elementary School.
A site plan is approved for Hidden Valley Amneity Center, to be located along the future Fairway Green Drive in the Hidden Valley Subdivision. The amenity center features a pool, clubhouse, dog park, community garden, children’s’ play area, pedestrian trail with 44 parking spaces on 3.75 acres.
Construction is underway for Hilltop Animal Hospital, located at 3301 N Main Street (Hwy 401) in the Hilltop Crossing Shopping Center. The site includes a 9,483 square foot building with 19 parking spaces on 1.47 acres.
Construction is underway for Infinite Self-Storage, located at 414 Judd Parkway SW. The site includes a one-story 17,250 square foot storage building and a two-story 90,547 square foot storage building on 14.70 acres.
A site plan is in review for Lane Professional Park, to be located at 1880 N Broad Street. The site completes the Lane Dental Plaza site with 6 commercial buildings, a central lawn area and 246 parking spaces on 7.38 acres.

A site plan is in review for Royal Creek Commercial Building #1, to be located off Ten Ten Road in the Royal Creek Subdivision. The site includes a 5,200 square foot retail/commercial building with 120 parking spaces on 2.11 acres.
Construction is underway for Sam’s Xpress Car Wash, a car wash and vehicle fuel station located at 1528 N Main Street (Hwy 401). The proposed building is 4,140 square feet on 2.3 acres.
A site plan is in review for an amenity center in the Stonecreek Subdivision, to be located at 4121 Cataldo Way. The amenity center features a 2,350 square foot building with a pool on 1.04 acres.
A site plan is under review for Technology Park Lane, to be located at 80 and 90 Technology Park Lane. The site includes a 32,000 square foot office/warehouse building with 83 parking spaces on 3.48 acres.
A site plan is in review for Tilghman Industrial, to be located at 1251 NC Hwy 42. Phase 1 of the proposed development includes seven 60’ x 60’ attached industrial units and one 400’ x 200’ industrial building with 172 parking spaces on a portion of the 32.51 acre lot.

US Veterans Corps Operations Center
Construction is underway for US Veterans Corps Operations Center, located at 2538 Waco Commercial Court. The proposed plan features a 3,458 square foot building with 11 parking spaces on 2.48 acres.
Varina Gateway Townes Amenity Center
A site plan is in review for an amenity center in the Varina Gateway Townes Subdivision, located off the proposed Sugar Cone Way. The amenity center features a 1,750 square foot club house and pool on 0.53 acres.
Construction of a sewer main extension is complete and a site plan is in review for the Walmart Outparcel, located at 1051 E Broad Street. The site includes a 9,100 square foot building with up to six retail spaces and 47 parking spaces on 1.14 acres.
A site plan is in review for Willow Springs Dollar General, to be located at 1733 NC Highway 42. The proposed site features a 9,100 square foot building with 33 parking spaces on 2.18 acres.
Construction is complete for Willow Spring High School, located at 1704 Old Honeycutt Road. The school, now open and currently serving as the home for Fuquay-Varina High School is 349,207 square feet on 58.50 acres.

Abberly Apartments (Formerly Royal Creek Apartments)
A site plan is in review for Abberly Apartments, to be located near the intersection of Lake Wheeler Road and Ten Ten Road and a part of the Royal Creek Development. This multi-family development features 264 units and a club house on 9.76 acres.
Construction of homes is underway for Adalyn Place Subdivision, located near the intersection of E Academy Street and SE Judd Parkway. This open space development features 92 single-family lots averaging 7,400 square feet with 7.43 acres of open space on 30.07 acres. The development also includes the extension of both E Academy Street and Bevis Marks Drive.
Construction of homes is underway for Adams Vineyards Subdivision, located near the intersection of NC 42 Hwy and John Adams Road. This open space development features 30 single-family lots averaging 29,664 square feet with 17.37 acres of open space on 42.81 acres.
Construction of homes is underway for Arlington Meadows Subdivision, located at 1401 Angier Road. This open space development features 175 single-family lots averaging 8,324 square feet with 18.23 acres of open space on 61.28 acres.
Ascend Varina Gateway (Formerly Basal Creek Apartments)
Construction is underway for Ascend Varina Gateway, to be located at 2300 N Broad Street. This planned unit development features a variety of uses including two mixed-use buildings, 12 apartment buildings with 264 units, club house with a pool, dog park and a public greenway on 18.80 acres.
Ashford Townes (Formerly Senter Crossing)
Construction of infrastructure is underway for Ashford Townes Subdivision, located at 750 S Judd Parkway. This townhome development features 74 lots with 6.35 acres of open space on 12.38 acres.
A preliminary subdivision plan is in review for Atwater Station Subdivision, to be located at 1800 Bass Lake Road. This form-based, mixed-use development features 238 townhomes and 192 single family homes with 13.45 acres of civic space on the residential portion of the 126.60 acre parcel.
Construction of infrastructure is underway for Avery Crossing Subdivision, located at 1301 Phelps West Road. This open space development features 56 single-family lots with averaging 7,120 square feet with 4.265 acres of open space on 16.11 acres.
Construction is underway for Bent Tree Subdivision located at 721 and 911 Fleming Loop Road. Phase 1 features 78 single-family lots averaging 8,500 square feet and Phases 2-5 feature 128 single-family lots averaging 8,130 square feet with 36.32 acres of open space on 95.34 acres.
A preliminary subdivision plan is in review for Bexford Subdivision, to be located at 6490 Hilltop Road. This open space development features 109 single-family lots averaging 6,025 square feet and 292 townhome lots with 39.96 acres of open space on 64.52 acres.

Construction of homes is underway for Copper Pond Subdivision, located off Piney Grove Wilbon Road near the intersection of W Academy Street (NC 42 Hwy). Phases 1-2 of this conventional subdivision features 17 single-family averaging 34,721 square feet on 16.59 acres and Phases 3-5 feature 33 single-family lots averaging 23,857 square feet on 30.02 acres.
Construction plans are in review for the Crossings Subdivision infrastructure, to be located at 775 NE Judd Parkway. The form based, mixed-use development features the roadway and utility improvements as well as establishes the lots for future multi-family and commercial development on 14.72 acres.
A site plan is in review for the Crossings Apartments, to be located at 775 NE Judd Parkway. The multi-family residential development features 336 apartment units in six 4-story buildings, an amenity site with a pool and club house, a greenway, and a community garden on 9.55 acres.

A preliminary plan is in review for a Lakestone Village Tract 5, to be located at the south west corner of Lakestone Commons Avenue and Commercial Service Road. This mixed-use site includes 4 lots. Lots 1 and 2 feature 48 townhomes with 3.815 acres of open space on 7.044 acres. Lots 3 and 4 include two future commercial lots along Lakestone Commons Avenue on a total of 2.493 acres.

Construction of homes is underway for Logan Meadow Subdivision, located at 501 SE Judd Parkway near the intersection of Holland Road. This conventional development features 12 single-family lots averaging 7,400 square feet on 4.64 acres.
A site plan is in review for Madison Park Apartments, to be located at 9408 Fayetteville Road (US 401), just south of Wake Technical Community College with access onto Fayetteville Rd (Hwy 401) and Ransdell Road. This multi-family residential development features 178 apartment units in four buildings along with two commercial outparcels on 11.86 acres.

Construction of homes is underway for Patriot Bluffs Subdivision, located at 6428 Johnson Pond Road. Phase 1 of this open space development features 34 single-family lots averaging 7,951 square feet and Phase 2 features 18 single-family lots averaging 7,537 square feet with 4.94 acres of open space on 17.42 acres.
Construction of infrastructure is underway for Persimmon Woods Subdivision, located at 1908 W Academy Street (NC 42 Hwy). This conventional development features 12 single-family lots averaging 27,793 square feet on 8.62 acres.
Construction is underway for Powell Square Apartments, located at 2021 N Broad Street (Hwy 55), with an additional access to Old Powell Road. This multi-family residential development will be built in phases and features 384 apartment units in 16 buildings with an amenity center on 26.88 acres.
A preliminary subdivision plan is in review for the Preserves at Holland, to be located at 804 Holland Road. This conventional development features 50 single-family lots averaging 21,060 square feet on 29.67 acres.
Construction is underway for the Raleigh Street Mixed-Use Project, located at 105 Raleigh Street. The site includes a 4-story building with ground floor retail and office space and upper level apartment units on three floors. The proposed building will be 36,018 square feet with 49 parking spaces on 0.64 acres.

The project proposes a 5.22-acre campus featuring a 44,140 square foot brewery and distillery, a retail merchandise store, a full service restaurant and bar, drive through coffee shop and multi-use pavilion on a 0.80 acre green lawn.
Construction is underway for a parking lot expansion at the existing Bob Barker Facility, located at 7925 Purfoy Road. The expansion adds 122 parking spaces bringing the site total to 241 parking spaces on 43.06 acres.

Rennovations are underway for Cleveland Draft House, to be located at 1420 E Broad Street, at the location of the former Hibachi Buffet.
Crossroads Ford of Fuquay Varina Parking Lot Expansion
Construction is underway for an expansion of the parking lot at the existing Crossroads Ford of Fuquay Varina dealership, located at 3217 N Main Street. The expansion adds 66 parking spaces to the existing parking lot on the 12.98 acre site.
John Deere Parking Lot Expansion
Construction is underway for an expansion of the parking lot at the John Deere facility, located at 6501 S NC 55 Hwy. The plan includes the expansion of an existing parking lot adding 105 parking spaces.
Hilltop Baptist Church
A site plan is in review for Hilltop Baptist Church, located at 10212 Fayetteville Road. The plan proposes a 2-story classroom building on the existing church property with 148 additional parking spaces on 26.83 acres.
John Deere New Entrance
A site plan is approved for a new entrance to the John Deere facility, located at 6501 S NC 55 Hwy. The additional entrance off NC Highway 55 will also readjust their parking adding one parking space on 57.18 acres.
Main Street Dance
A site plan is in review for Main Street Dance, to be located at 830 N Main Street. This plan proposes the addition of a 2,400 square foot building adjacent to the existing dance studio building and the expansion and improvement of the existing parking lot yielding 41 parking spaces on 2.09 acres.
Construction in underway for the S.T. Wooten Concrete plant site, located at 3625 Banks Road. The existing prefabricated building will be demolished and replaced with a proposed two-story, 1,536 square foot building on 17.05 acres.
