Highways & Roads

Fuquay-Varina is conveniently located near major interstate highways including I-40, I-85 and I-95, as well as national freight and passenger rail lines. NC Highways 42, 55 and US Highway 401 converge in Fuquay-Varina offering direct access to the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), world-famous Research Triangle Park, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and Fort Bragg. Construction of the Southeast Extension of I-540 is underway, which will provide even greater access.

Airports 

Fuquay-Varina is located 25 minutes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). RDU offers more than 400 daily flights through 10 carriers with 57 nonstop domestic destinations and five international destinations. More than 14.2 people traveled through RDU in 2019.

Ports

Fuquay-Varina is located 115 Miles from the Port of Wilmington, NC & 152 Miles from the Port of Morehead City, NC. These two deep seawater ports, plus inland terminals in Charlotte and in the Piedmont Triad at Greensboro, have the capability and capacity to serve as competitive alternatives to ports in neighboring states. 

Rail

Norfolk Southern provides freight and cargo services that can be loaded at a nearby transload facility. There are two Amtrak stations located in Wake County (Raleigh and Cary) going to more than 10 different locations on the east coast including Baltimore, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.
