Wouldn't it be nice if we all just talked?
The original series, titled The Other Side, pairs children from elementary school through high school with a Fuquay-Varina Police officer for an intimate conversation about life, love, greatest fears, and tough decisions. The series prompts a personal human-to-human conversation that dives into some difficult topics and discussions, opening the door to vulnerability, emotional highs and lows, and seeks to foster an overall understanding about people in our community.
The objective of the series is to bridge communication between generations and highlight the importance of conversation in a complicated world. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all just talked?
The Other Side video series is a home grown project bringing together resources from Fuquay-Varina: Amazing Studios provided video services and professional expertise; the Fuquay-Varina Police provided time, talent and experience from a police officer’s perspective; Fuquay-Varina schools helped find youth to participate and provide perspective from local youth; and Officers Only, a foundation of the Bob Barker Company, provided funding for expenses
