What equipment am I responsible for?: Parents will be responsible for purchasing cleats, grey pants, and any other necessary equipment. The Recreation Department will provide one shirt (uniform) and hat per player. One set of catcher’s equipment, one bat and team helmets will be provided for each team.

1. Can my child play up an age division?: We encourage parents to keep their children in their respective age groups in order to maintain the integrity of each division. Each division needs players at all skill levels in order to make the division an enjoyable experience. For those children whose skill levels exceed their age group, the league will determine if / when a child will be moved up an age group.

2. How are teams determined? Are there cuts?: Teams will be assigned randomly by the Recreation Department. There will be no evaluation. Anyone who signs up and pays will be placed on a team. We will try to honor special requests but cannot guarantee that each request will be permitted.

3. How do I sign up?: Visit the Fuquay-Varina Parks & Recreation Online Registratiion site.

4. How will parents learn more about the season?: Please see the T - Ball page.

5. What are the age groups?: T - Ball is for children age 4, 5 and 6.

6. What are the rules?: T - Ball rules can be found in the T - Ball Handbook (PDF).

7. What is the age cutoff date?: The age cutoff date is May 1, 2014.

8. What days are practices and games held ?: Preseason practices will be held either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and / or
Saturdays. Teams will have one weeknight practice and one Saturday practice.
Once games begin, they will be held Saturdays between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. In season practices will be held weeknights. We will avoid using Wednesday and Sundays, however, weather may necessitate changes.

10. Where will practices and games be held?: Ballentine School Park and F-V Middle School.

12. How will I be notified?: Once teams are formed, coaches will contact parents either by phone or email to notify you of game / practice schedules, important changes, pictures, etc. We will primarily communicate through email but most updates will be posted to the Recreation Department’s webpage.
